Happy Birthday, Mom!

Today was my birthday, and my favorite gift was going swimming with my amazing husband, and little baby!

Swimmin'!

I have been so excited to get Sophie in the water, as swimming is very important to me! I had a horrible time slogging my way throught the Water Babies Website only to discover nothing was available until October, AND is pricey. Instead, our friend Kristina (see "Lunch with Friends" below), who lives up North, invited us to come swimming with them at the Mountlake Terrace Rec Center. It is incredible. There is a huge section specifically for infants and little kids which is only a couple of feet deep, with all kinds of toys and floaties. Our Swimming Days have only just begun! Thank you, Kristina!

An Afternoon at Greenlake

Sophie and I took the afternoon today to pose as Greenlake yuppies. Although neither of us had on matchy matchy exercise outfits, and I had failed to produre the requisite latte for the cupholder in the stroller, it was a very nice walk on a lovely afternoon!

Lunch with Friends

Today we had lunch with Kristina's little ones, Sam and Evelyn at their house. We had a wonderful time playing with the big kids, being held, and finding our voice!
