Ah, morning.

Mornings are pretty great around here. We're sleeping through the night, until a decent hour in the morning, and someone wakes up super happy and rearing to go. This usually invloves some costume pieces, best friend Froggy, and a musical instrument or two.

Orcas Island Visit

Memorial Day weekend finds us heading out to lovely Orcas Island for a visit with Nammy & Papa. The ferry ride is always fascinating.

Hanging out in the yard, Brian finishing up one of two adirondak chairs we were charged with assembling. They turned out pretty nice!

Summer Days

While really not summer officially, we sure had a dose of it this week! Sophie and I went to our friend, Mary Rawon's baby shower for her second baby at her friend, Laura's house. It was a beautiful, hot day. Much thanks to Finn's mom, Megan, for the photos!

Le Jardin

Well, the weather is finally sunny and nice, and today we decided to have a Garden Day! Here are some "before" pictures and one "after" of the canvas that is our little Townhouse "yard."

We Love the Zoo!

We indeed love the Zoo. Papa and Nammy renewed Sophie (and parent's) Zoo Memberships for Sophie's birthday, hooray! Today it was the dad's trip with the girls, Brian and Basil took Sophie and Nora to see the brand new Penguin exhibit. You can tell the girls are thrilled:



Okay, they do get pretty excited when they see the actual Panguins. Nora says, "They're THIS small!"

Mother's Day Brunch

Today we had bruch with Gillian, Basil and Nora on the lovely rooftop of their building. It was a splendid day, Brian and Basil made a wonderful brunch complete with Mimosas and perfect bacon. I, of course, made matchy-matchy dresses for moms and girls.

Ongoing Birthday Joy

Today we received a package of lovely gifts from Cousin Addison, Uncle Ryan and Aunt Kelly. This adorable (if a little long - Sophie's a bit on the short side...) sundress,

and this really really cool tutu (which Sophie loves to wear particularly in the mornings over her pyjamas).

Happy Opening Night!

This evening we attended the final Opening Night Party of the season at Brian's work, The Seattle Children's Theatre. For those who would love a peek "behind the scenes", here's how the techies party:

A work table piled with food including such delicacies as peanut butter cookies shaped and decorated like mice in honor of the Mainstage Show opening, "I Was a Rat." And one small child with a big cup looking for a drink...
