Baby's First Easter

All dressed up and ready to go to G&G Culver's House for Easter Day Chili!

The hat lasted a little while, long enough for a few ah's and oh's...

Then we had our own little Easter Egg Hunt.  Very little.  Three eggs and a blanket.  We'll get more creative next year when Sophie can, you know, walk.

Toodling around with the kind assistance of Uncle Bryan and Aunt Thu.  Great Grandma Jean looks on from the couch, and I tried to get Bryan & Thu's little doggy Oliver in the shot, but he is just too fast!

A little after dinner music on the way-cool organ with G'ma Kathy.

Okay, time for bed!  Thank you, Easter Bunny, BOK BOK!

Easter Presents

We received a box of Easter goodies from Gigi today, which included all sorts of fantastic spring items, including this amazing hat!

And eggs!

We love eggs!  Thank you, Gigi!

Yay Spring!

Although we're a couple days shy, Sophie and I are loving these warmer spring days.  Swinging with the cherry trees in blossom nearby,

We love to swing!

Also we like to hang out and cruise the slides.

And tonight, a visit with Great Grandma Jean!

Deluxe

This evening we went out for burgers at The Deluxe on Broadway.  Mom and dad had excellent burgers while Sophie ate O's & nanas.  And none too happy about it.

Oh, wait.  I just need to shove it in like this.

And try to chase it down with some of dad's beer!

Excellent Parenting 101

So somtimes the bins of books and toys just don't cut it, and mom needs a distraction for our busy little bee.  Yes, I admit to popping in a video while Sophie sat and occasionally watched, and played.  Until now, as she has figured out how to get to the source and talk to the television.  It's actually pretty funny.

Random Stolen Shots

Here is a mish mash of photos swiped from our friend Amy and Sloane's Blog.  Amy is an inspration in photographic consistency and I basically theived this whole Blog set-up from her.  Here is Sophie, most likely post-mom movie lunch at The Cheesecake Factory.  Clearly very curious about someone else's food.

Our beautiful friends, Amy and Sloane.

Here I am at the mom movies hanging out with Sophie and Cooper.  It's quite obvious I'm having a terrible time.

This was our first day back into the swing of things at Mosaics after our Big Vacation.  So happy to be back and see everyone!

Just the other week at Polly and Unity's house for a movie.  Yes, we usually match like this and yes, I chopped all my hair off.

Let the Birthdays Begin!

Ready to party!  We seem to break into the "Rocky" theme whenever Sophie wears this hoodie.  Not sure why.  (duh nuh nuhhhh, duh nuh nuhhhh...)

At the party with Birthday Girl, Unity and her dad, Chris.

Not cool, man.

Our friend, Finn.  We love his dreamy eyes.  And his cool mini cowboy shirt.

Okay, enough of this.  Where's that keg?

Ah, here we go!  Finally!

If I can just...get...it...in...my...gullet!  (Actually an empty cup of sparkling cider for the lovely birthday toast by Unity's mom Polly.  But it's never to early to practice wielding those ubiquitous red plastic cups.)  Birthday kids Hiram and Unity are standing by.

Here's Cooper's dad Stephen gaining popularity with each morsel of pita passed out...

Ah, babies lined up on couches just never gets uncute.

Happy Birthday from everyone!

Mornings...

...are awesome.  First, we get up and get a bit of reading in while mom makes her coffee.

When she's finally done with her breakfast (whatever!), I get out of the saucer and cruise some furniture and chew on a cell phone or two. (No worries, concerned adults, Brian has blown through several cell phones lately, all of which have become favorite toys of Sophie's, sans batteries.)

Then, after a nap, usually it's time to get dressed to go somewhere, but sometimes I get to hang out half way through that process.

It's cool.  I like to boogey.

It's cool, daddy-o.

Sweeeeeeet!

Family Dinner

While Sophie is lucky enough to visit G&G Culver just about every weekend for a spell, every so often we manage to get the whole gang together for a Family Dinner.  Tonight was a yummy visit to Duke's Chowder House on Lake Union for mussels and fish n' chips.  And lots of love, of course!  Here Sophies is with Aunt Amanda and G'ma Kathy.

A little wider shot, including Uncle Bryan and dad Brian.

Coffee with Nora

...actually Heather and Gillian got the coffee, Sophie and Nora got, well, some toys and the floor.  Anyway first here we are with Aaron at Tougo.

Then Nora arrives and we say hi.  Also, um, Nora is SO LONG!  Now, Sophie is by no means in the upper eschelon of the percentile graph (thank goodness, says mommy's back!), but look how long Nora is at only two and a half months!  Good-ness!

What do we keep saying?  Future Best Friends of America!

Also FBFoA's can stick their finger in your ear.

Mosaics again

It's Tuesday again, much fun to be had at the coffeeshop.  Here is Hiram doing some sort of shamanistic ritual over Sophie.  That's cool.

Who can resist this?

Busy.  Very busy.
